Cards 1 & 2
The Head Says… – These two cards represent the logical and creative mind. Some may refer to this as left-brain & right-brain thinking. Whatever your school of thought about brain hemispheres might be, these cards reveal how the mind’s logic may be working for you or against you. The first two cards can also reflect what the mind visualizes or perceives about your matter that perhaps has not manifested into reality. What is going on up there?
Cards 3, 4 & 5
The Heart Says… – These three cards represent authenticity of emotions, sensitivity, trust and the flexibility to be open to giving and receiving. It will be revealed through the cards that fall if following your heart will be the wisest decision. Healthy emotional intelligence reciprocates well with the environment, thus following your heart should show up as a clear statement supported by other cards.
Things to look for when interpreting your Head Says & Heart Says reading
If you are using a Tarot deck for this reading, you will want to pay close attention to where Major Arcana fall. All majors in the Head section or Heart section for example, reveals dominance. Depending on how you choose to interpret this; for example, the Head area showing dominance can mean to choose logic and set emotion aside. Or, dominance in the Heart area can mean; be flexible, so take the risk and trust. In the end, the interpretation is up to you.
Next, are there cards that conflict heavily in one area only? For example, is the Heart area showing cards that are conflicting with each other or are typically thought of as dramatic? Go with logic. Does the Head area appear to not show solid reasoning, confusion or cloudiness while the heart cards appear to express clarity?
